The SUAV team designed, optimised and built a fuel cell powered UAV.  Adelan designed a mSOFC generator to meet the challenging weight and volume constraints of a mini-UAV. Adelan designed and built several 100-200W_e mSOFC stacks, integrating them into a hybrid power system as a battery range extender. The system comprised a fuel processor to reform propane, and other electrical, mechanical and control balance of plant (BoP).  The project optimised mission duration, and opened opportunities for exploitation in other light-weight, man-portable applications.
